This guide is for sellers of the weird and wonderful equipment that you have acquired from industrial sites. It might have been an old mill, electric generation plant, saw mill, gas works or water board. Likewise from hospitals, barracks and ministry of works sites that you have an artifact that you don’t know what it is, what you can use it for and may wish to sell it.

At the heart of any recorder is a clock, in the case of a water meter recorder a regulator clock. The real mistake is to think its better to disregard the bulk and make a clock. If you do this you completely devalue the item.
